For stability, I’ve found using weight distribution hitches to be essential. They can take the strain off the vehicle. Just sharing my two cents!
Speaking of hitches, I’ve been considering a self-install option but I’m a bit hesitant. How challenging is it to install one yourself?
It’s not too tough if you’re somewhat handy! I installed mine with basic tools, but having a friend helps. Just take your time and follow the instructions carefully.

I took mine on a 500-mile trip with a trailer, and it definitely impacts your range. Charge breaks are a must, but it was manageable overall!
