I found the installation manual on Kia’s official site. They had a pretty complete guide that was helpful!

Does anyone know if there’s a difference between the hitches? I’ve seen several brands, but I’m unsure which is best for my EV6.

I went with the CURT hitch, and it’s been great! Just be sure to check the weight rating for your needs.

I DIY’ed mine with a friend. The install took about 3 hours, but I probably could have gone faster!

Wiring can be tricky! Make sure to have a decent set of wire connectors. I had to redo mine a few times to get the connections solid.

Great question! My CURT hitch fit perfectly, but I had to buy an adapter for the wiring harness for the lights. Overall, it’s been smooth sailing! Towed a small trailer without any issues.

I’ve towed a small camper on hilly terrain and surprisingly, it handled quite well! Just remember to monitor the weight closely. The EV6 has a decent torque for such conditions.

I kind of have to disagree with you, adamsmark. I’ve had a different experience—towing uphill made my EV6 switch to power-saving mode quickly. Just something to keep in mind depending on your load!
