What’s the 0-60 Time for the 2021 M5 Competition?

Funny enough, I once missed a perfect launch because of a pothole! So road conditions are key.

Haha, that’s classic! But seriously, how often do you guys actually get to rock those 0-60 sprints? Traffic is killer in my area.

Not as often as I’d like! I typically get the chance at night when the roads are quieter. It’s like a little slice of heaven!

Right? It feels good to unleash the power! Just remember to keep it safe out there.

Can we talk about how all these factors — weather, road, and tires — mean that the ‘0-60’ time is kind of subjective? Just depends on so many variables.

True! But isn’t that part of the fun? Learning how to tune your driving skills to make the most of it!

Hey everyone! The stock 0-60 time for the 2021 M5 Competition is around 3.0 seconds. However, I’m curious about how tuning might improve it further. Any thoughts?

I’ve done some tuning on mine and managed to shave off a few tenths! I’d say a good ECU tune can make a noticeable difference.

I’ve heard that performance upgrades like better tires can also help with traction, potentially improving the 0-60 time. Has anyone here tried that?

Absolutely! I switched to Michelin Pilot Sport 4S and noticed a significant difference in grip during launches.

What about the exhaust system? I’ve read upgrading to a high-performance exhaust can improve throttle response, but does it really help with 0-60 times?

I’ve heard the same thing! My friend has done it, and he claims it helps with acceleration. Anyone else have experience?

Honestly, it’s a balance between power and handling. More horsepower isn’t always the answer to better 0-60 times. Chassis upgrades can be just as important.

Totally agree! I’ve been looking into suspension mods to improve stability during launches.

Does anyone think adding weight reduction strategies will help? I’m not sure if it’s worth the effort or if the gains are minimal.

Weight reduction can be beneficial, but I’d focus on more immediate upgrades like tuning first. Those tend to yield better gains for the money spent!

For sure! Just last week, I added a performance intake and it feels peppier. I’m eager to see the results!

By the way, is it just me or does the M5 sound even better with these mods? It’s like a symphony! Can’t help but enjoy the drive.
