Do Model Y Owners Get Floor Mats with Their Purchase?

I’ve been looking into purchasing a Tesla Model Y, and I’ve come across some mixed information regarding floor mats.

Does the Model Y come with any floor mats included in the purchase?
I’ve seen some sources say that it does, while others suggest they might be an additional purchase. If it does come with mats, I’d love to know:

  • What type are they?
  • Are they carpeted or all-weather mats?
  • How do they hold up in different weather conditions?

Additionally, for those who’ve already purchased the Model Y, would you recommend sticking with the stock mats, or are there better options available for upgrades or replacements?

I’ve heard that Tesla Model Y doesn’t come with standard floor mats in every configuration. It’s often an additional purchase. Anyone else think it’s odd?

It’s definitely strange. Most manufacturers include at least basic floor mats.

With the Model Y, the lack of mats seems like a missed opportunity for Tesla. It’s a relatively expensive vehicle, after all.

I believe the Model Y does come with mats but it varies by trim level. Those getting the Performance model might have more included.

I got the Long Range version and my car came with some really nice mats. Maybe they realized people wanted them and started including them in later builds?

Lucky you! I had to buy mine separately after my purchase. Very frustrating.

I feel like it’s a hidden cost. You end up spending more on accessories. It’s a car, not a custom suit!

I can confirm Model Y does not come with floor mats. You’ll need to buy them separately if you want good protection!

I found some aftermarket options that are pretty good! The WeatherTech mats are highly rated and awesome for protection.
