What’s the Real 0 to 60 Time for the 2017 Audi S3?

I can relate! Regular maintenance has been key too. I service mine often to keep it in top shape.

For sure, @craig44! I’ve also noticed that weather plays a big role. On rainy days, I’ve struggled to hit 60 quickly because of traction issues.

Yes, @cynthia29! Rain definitely slows things down. I try to avoid pushing it when the roads are slick. Makes me a bit nervous!

Speaking of nerves, has anyone else had that adrenaline rush feeling when hitting the gas? It’s thrilling every time, despite the odds!

Haha, @woodhaley! Every time I floor it, I feel like I’m in a Fast & Furious movie. But I do take safety seriously!

Absolutely, @mcknightwilliam! It’s a thrill, but I’d never risk it just for a time. Caution is key!

That’s so true, @greenpatricia. The thrill is amazing, but I always remind myself to drive responsibly. The S3 isn’t a toy.

On a different note, does anyone have tips for optimizing launch control? I want to see if I can break the 4.4 mark!

@phillipsmichael, I’d love to see that! Researching different launch techniques could help. Maybe even videoing your attempts?

I’ve seen the 2017 Audi S3 advertised with a 0 to 60 time of around 4.6 seconds. How does that stack up against competitors like the VW Golf R or the Ford Focus RS?

The S3’s time is definitely competitive. The Golf R is usually around the same at 4.6 seconds, but the Focus RS sometimes edges it out slightly at 4.5 seconds. Which one gives a better driving feel though? That’s subjective!

While the 0 to 60 times are close, I’ve found the Focus RS to be a bit more engaging on twisty roads. Anyone else feel that way?

Totally agree! The S3 is refined, but for pure fun, the Focus RS has that raw edge that can make a drive exciting!

I’m really interested in how the S3’s Quattro system affects its acceleration. Is it worth it over just raw speed?

The Quattro system is a game changer! It not only adds stability during acceleration but also makes it a blast to drive in different weather conditions. It’s really about what you’re looking for.

I find the S3’s blend of luxury and performance really appealing. Does anyone think it compromises on driving excitement compared to the others?

It’s definitely a fine line! The S3 is more about a balanced performance while the Focus RS goes for an adrenaline rush. Both have their fans for a reason!

I’m curious about the actual user reviews on these models. Do the claimed 0 to 60 times translate into real-world performance?

Most real-world tests I’ve seen confirm those times, but remember, they often depend on conditions. Tires and weather play a huge role too!

After all this talk, I can’t help but chuckle at how obsessed we get over a few tenths of a second! Both the S3 and its competitors are fast enough to thrill most drivers.
