I agree with beth60! I’ve had mine for over 30,000 miles, and they still have a good amount of tread life left. They perform really well in rain too, which is a plus for me.
30,000 miles? That’s impressive! Are you mostly driving on highways or city roads?
I’ve primarily been on city roads, but I do a bit of highway driving as well. They handle well in both situations. Definitely feels like good value for the cost!
Just getting to 20,000 miles with mine, but I must say, I find the ride quite pleasant! Tread wear seems reasonable too. Anyone else found they wear unevenly?
I had some issues with uneven wear on mine, but it turned out my alignment was off. After fixing that, they’ve been great! Have you done anything with your alignment?
No, I haven’t looked into alignment yet. That’s a good point. Maybe that’s why they feel a bit off sometimes. Thanks for the tip!
I’ve had mixed feelings about these tires. While they last well, I found them a bit lacking in handling during really stormy weather. Just my experience!
Interesting! I’ve always felt they handle well in rain. Maybe it’s my driving style? Can you share more about your conditions?
Sure! I often drive through heavy rain and some slushy conditions. They seemed to struggle a bit. Curious if anyone else feels the same. Maybe I just got a bad batch!
I had my Altimax 365AW tires for two winters now, and they performed adequately in snow. Just don’t expect winter tire levels, but better than some all-seasons I’ve tried.
Good to know, justin08! I’m also looking for a decent all-season tire for winter use without breaking the bank. Sounds promising! How’s the noise level on longer drives?
For me, they are pretty quiet! I don’t notice excessive road noise, which is nice. Overall, I think they balance performance well for the price.
That sounds promising! I guess they offer good value then. Anyone experienced any significant drop in fuel efficiency with them?
I haven’t noticed a decline in my fuel efficiency. In fact, I think they might even be helping! Good tires like these can sometimes save gas.
It seems like a solid option overall but I wonder if there are better around for similar pricing? Definitely considering crossing over to the Altimax.
That’s the eternal question of tire shopping! Sometimes you just have to try them out and see for yourself. Good luck!
I’ve been using the General Altimax 365AW tires for about 6 months now. The ride quality is great—very comfortable, even on longer trips! The noise level is decent but not completely silent.
I totally agree! I just took a road trip and found the ride quite smooth. However, it got a bit noisy on the highway.
Can anyone elaborate on the noise while braking? I’ve heard mixed reviews about how these tires perform under different conditions.
I’ve noticed they get a bit louder on wet roads but still manageable. Overall, they handle well!
