What’s the best BMW scanner tool for DIYers?

I’ve had good experiences with the iCarsoft! It’s pretty straightforward for a DIYer.

Anyone here ever tried the Autel MaxiCOM? I heard it’s great for programming, but I’m wondering if the price is justified.

It’s definitely effective, but if you’re just doing basic diagnostics, it may be overkill.

I just want to add that a good scanner is only part of the equation! Knowledge is power. Make sure to read the manual and understand the codes!

Can we be honest for a second—some of these tools have UI that’s just awful! I had to consult Google just to figure out how to get through the menu.
