In my experience, regular maintenance keeps it looking sharp! But I do think that the warm interior colors help distract from any small imperfections.
Does anybody feel the Black Sapphire Metallic is a little too understated? I sometimes wish it popped a bit more, especially in a sporty model.

I’ve had my Black Sapphire Metallic BMW X5 for over a year now. The paint is stunning but requires regular maintenance to keep it looking pristine. Frequent washing and a good wax really help!

It does help with minor scratches, but it’s not a miracle worker. You still need to be careful; the black color shows every little mark!
I echo your sentiments, amysoto. Even small scratches are noticeable on black. I try to park cautiously and use a cover when parked for long periods.
Don’t stress too much about scratches! I find that regular detailing helps hide them. Plus, you can always do a good polish every few months.
